Overview
The 10 kV outdoor ring main unit is a new-generation automated distribution device developed by our company based on the original standard 10 kV outdoor ring main unit, in response to the actual development needs of power system distribution automation. It features comprehensive functions—including system monitoring, system control, and system communication—that fully meet the requirements of distribution automation, making it an ideal modern switchgear.
The 10 kV outdoor ring main unit enclosure is fabricated from 2 mm stainless steel or polystyrene panels, featuring a well-optimized structural design. Each functional compartment is independently sealed and separated by partitions, ensuring that operations in one compartment do not interfere with those in others. The 10 kV outdoor ring main unit is equipped with a “five-protection interlocking” mechanism to prevent misoperation and unauthorized access. The enclosure surface can be polished or coated according to customer requirements, achieving an ingress protection rating of IP33 or IP67. The internal cabinet can be configured with either the XGN15-12 type ring main switchgear or our company’s self-developed DRM-12/24 series fully insulated, fully enclosed, compact metal-enclosed switchgear. The enclosure roof adopts a double-layer air-insulated structure, with no external ventilation openings; instead, air intake vents are located at the lower part of the enclosure, while exhaust vents are positioned at the top, concealed beneath the roof overhang to create a bottom-to-top natural air convection. This design provides excellent thermal insulation and ventilation performance for the enclosure.

Operating Environment Conditions
◎Altitude ≤ 1000 m;
◎ Ambient temperature: -30°C to +40°C;
◎ Relative humidity: daily average not exceeding 95%, monthly average not exceeding 90%;
◎The surrounding air shall be free from significant contamination by corrosive gases, flammable gases, water vapor, and the like;
◎ No explosions, chemical corrosion, severe vibration, or strong electromagnetic interference.
